PRINCIPAL - LINDISFARNE The North East Regional Training Partnership

This is a unique opportunity for the right person to begin work in good time to establish, shape and lead this innovative partnership from September 2009.

The successful candidate will:

• listen to and discern the needs of the local church as it seeks to develop its ministry in the diverse communities of the North East
• communicate a vision for adult learning to a wide range of audiences
• work in partnership with a wide range of church bodies, including local and national organisations
• be responsible for managing and developing a talented staff team
• actively contribute to the planning and delivery of the theological education of Lindisfarne’s students

The successful candidate will be contributing to the spiritual renewal of the area of Passionate People, Passionate Places.

FREE CHURCH CAPLAIN AT HMP BRIXTON (up to 10 hours per week)

Applications are invited for Ordained Ministers or Lay Preachers with a demonstrable commitment to and understanding of ministry in the prison context. The successful candidate will be expected to undertaken some generic chaplaincy duties, but will also be able to teach the bible, lead worship and facilitate group discussions within the prison setting. He or she will need to demonstrate an ability to work within a multi-faith team, respecting and interacting with all members of the team, while remaining committed to their own Christian convictions.

The post does not entail regular Sunday morning involvement, but being available on occasional Sunday mornings would be an advantage. Applicants will need the endorsement of the Church. Closing date is 1st October 2008.
