Applications are invited for Ordained Ministers or Lay Preachers with a demonstrable commitment to and understanding of ministry in the prison context. The successful candidate will be expected to undertaken some generic chaplaincy duties, but will also be able to teach the bible, lead worship and facilitate group discussions within the prison setting. He or she will need to demonstrate an ability to work within a multi-faith team, respecting and interacting with all members of the team, while remaining committed to their own Christian convictions.
The post does not entail regular Sunday morning involvement, but being available on occasional Sunday mornings would be an advantage. Applicants will need the endorsement of the Church. Closing date is 1st October 2008.
