On these pages you can read about the variety of work that is carried out through the synod, that links our churches with the wider community.
Many of our churches are involved in issues of justice and peace, particularly through the Commitment for Life programme, support for Christian Aid, involvement in the Fair Trade movement, and working alongisde refugees and asylum seekers. The issues behind the MakePovertyHistory campaign will continue to be an important part of our agenda.
As a synod we have formal links through the Belonging to the World Church programme with the United Protestant Church of Belgium and with the Presbyterian Church of Mozambique.
At present we are running a Mile for Mozambique appeal to raise money for a new Toyota vehicle for the Presbyterian Church of Mozambique.
